Landa Rogers Williamson MIDLAND-Landa Rogers Williamson passed away peacefully on Oct. 10, 2012. She was born on May 14, 1926, in Lubbock, Texas, to Beulah and Marion Wright Rogers. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1943 and married Jimmy Williamson in 1946 after World War II. They moved to Midland in 1955. She worked at Midland Lee High School from 1962 until her retirement in 1990. She is survived by her children, Gayle and Don Winkler of Friendswood, Jan and James Davis of Jefferson, Kim and Beth Williamson of Marble Falls, and Wade and Kay Williamson of La Marque; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and very dear friends, Elwanna Collins and Leon Freeman, both of Midland. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Williamson; son-in-law, Michael Johnson; two brothers; and three sisters. She was an active member of Memorial Christian Church in Midland for many years and was involved in many outreach activities. Her last days were spent in La Marque at the home of her son, Wade and his wife, Kay, surrounded by those who loved her dearly.
