Lily Behrendsen LUBBOCK- Lily Behrendsen, 84, passed from this life on Friday, December 21, 2012. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today, December 26, 2012 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Bovina Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life service at 3 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel, 6025 82nd Street. A tribute of Mrs. Behrendsen may be found at, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family. Lily Mae was born on September 9, 1928 in Petersburg, Texas to Andrew and Laura Byrd. She married the love of her life, J. D. Kirkpatrick on March 8, 1947 in Plainview, Texas, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1974. She married Dillard Morris on April 17, 1975 in Muleshoe, Texas. He also preceded her in death on June 3, 1978. She later married Richard Behrendsen on October 21, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lily was a member of First Baptist Church of Bovina. She was a homemaker and loved to cook for her family. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was her greatest joy in life. She loved to bowl, dance, and spend time with family and friends. Her family will miss her beauty, sense of style, and humor. Lily was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Laura (Fields) Byrd; four brothers, Aubrey, Robert, Tommy, and Clyde Byrd; three sisters, Pearl Day, Viola Johnson, and Annie Scarborough; and great-granddaughter, Zaylee Campbell. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Daryl Kirkpatrick and wife, Karen of Lubbock, Texas, Carol Alexander and husband, Vann of Lubbock, Texas, Debra Campbell of Cimarron, New Mexico, and Randy Kirkpatrick and wife, Brenda of Bovina, Texas; and grandchildren, Dana Cunyus and husband, Jackie, Corey Kirkpatrick and wife, Misty, Brandon Glasscock and wife, Amy, Kimberly Billingsley and husband, Roger, Zadoc Campbell and wife, Jennifer, Zeke Campbell and wife, Krystin, and Hope Ayala and husband, Manuel. Lily is also is survived by her 14 great-grandchildren, Calloway, Caitlyn and Channing Cunyus, Taylor and Cole Kirkpatrick, Carter and Evelyn Glasscock, Madison and Bryson Billingsley, Zayden and Jordon Campbell, Emmalyn Campbell and Hayley, Krystian and Brevyn Ayala; brother, Clarence Byrd, and sister, Pansy Tullis and husband, Ronald.
