Mack Jenkins LUBBOCK-Mack Jenkins, 72, of Lubbock passed away on Dec. 3, 2012. Mack was born on June 10, 1940, in Rogers, Texas, to the parentage of the late Albert and Pearl Jenkins. Mack relocated to Tatum, N.M., at an early age and moved to Lubbock in 1961. Mack was united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Harris on July 6, 1962; to this union two children were born. Mack was employed at Clark Equipment Co. as a welder until the company closed. He was later employed with Bigham Bros. in 1985 and retired in 1999. Mack was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; five brothers; and his son, Mack Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Jenkins; one daughter, Tracey Jenkins; four grandchildren, Joelin Hunter, Diavonni, Jasmine and Faith Jenkins; four sisters, Ruby Nealey, Omie Riley, Robbie Mitchell and Lillian Howard; six sisters-in-law, Margaret Jenkins, Ann Collins, Louise Hall, Margaret Sanders, Effie Jenkins and Essie Mae Jenkins; one brother-in-law, Willie Harris; a close, special best friend, Clayton Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
