Mary Frances Jordan Spencer LUBBOCK-Mary Frances Jordan Spencer Mae Francis, 83, of Rusk County passed away on Feb. 5, 2013. Mae was born on July 4, 1930, to the late parents Grover Jordon Sr. and Frances Wright in Rusk County. Mary was baptized at the age of 19 and maintained a special relationship with her Lord and Savior throughout her life. She was married to the late Raymond Spencer Sr. and to that union eight children were born. Mae and Raymond moved their family to Lubbock in 1958. Mae adored her children and had a special bond with each of them. She had a passion for rib-sticking food and enjoyed cooking and baking. She worked at Seafood Gallery, where she made cheese rolls and butter chess pies. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; and Sherry, Lawrence and Dorothy. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Ramon (Claudette), and Raymond Jr. (Mary); two daughters, Bennie Russell (Roosevelt Jr.), and Kathy Larry (Bobby Jr.); two sisters, Faye McGee and Rachel Adams; sisters-in-law, Jean Jordan and Margie Spencer; one brother-in-law, the Reverend Perry Spencer; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Dyer and staff at U.M.C. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
