Mary Lou Gonzalez LUBBOCK-Rosary for Mary Lou Gonzalez, 66, of Lubbock will be today at 7 p.m. in Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel. Mary Lou passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, in Lubbock. She was born on Oct. 12, 1946, in Kendalia, Texas, to Magdaleno Sr. and the late Margarita Gutierrez (Sept. 6, 2001). She married Manuel D. Gonzalez on Aug. 30, 1969, in Lubbock, Texas. Before retiring, she had owned and operated Gonzalez Transport Company. Mary Lou loved to garden, cook, sew and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was a lifelong resident of Lubbock. Survivors include her husband, Manuel D. Gonzalez of Lubbock; a son, Robert and wife Leilani Gonzalez of Lubbock; two daughters, Alice and husband James Andrews of Lubbock, and Marti and husband Billy Stutts of Cabot, Ark.; five brothers, Ruben Gutierrez and David Gutierrez, both of Lubbock, Joe Gutierrez of Hale Center, Robert Gutierrez of Kyle, and Magdaleno Gutirrez Jr. of Austin; five sisters, Stephanie Briseno, Diana Montalvo and Alice Gutierrez, all of Lubbock, and Rosa Gonzales and Lupe Chavez, both of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
