Mary Marcotte LUBBOCK- Mary Margaret Marcotte of Lubbock, formerly El Paso, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 59. She was born November 11, 1952 in Ft. Sill, Okla. to Robert and Jeanne Rush. Mary graduated from Burges High School and went on to attend Texas Tech University, graduating in 1974 with a degree in Spanish. Mary married Mark M. Marcotte on December 26, 1990 in El Paso. She taught in the Ysleta School District for 29 years before retiring in 2004. The couple moved to Lubbock in 2006. Mary worked part-time at The Falls and enjoyed playing tennis, traveling and working in the garden. She was also an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association in Lubbock. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mark; parents, Robert and Jeanne Rush of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Alexis Spadoni and husband Benny of McKinney; two stepdaughters, Amanda Marcotte of New York City, N.Y. and Melissa Reed and husband Justin of Elk City, Okla.; brother, Col. William Rush and wife Mayumi of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia; two sisters, Nancy Marshall and husband Robert of Salt Lake City, Utah and Patricia Moreno and husband Efren of El Paso; and two grandchildren, Avery and Ben Spadoni.
