Georgetown- Mildred Lorene Reed, 91, of Georgetown passed away on January 4, 2018. She was born August 23, 1926 in Van Buren Arkansas to Bill and Versie Buchalla. Mildred married Eldon Reed July 16, 1943. Mildred was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother throughout her life. She loved to cook for her family so they could gather at her table as one big family. She was known for her famous mac and cheese and coconut cream pies. They were the best!

Mildred was a member of the Wolforth Church of Christ. Mildred loved to go deer hunting and fishing at the coast with her husband and two sons. She liked traveling the country side, enjoyed camping and staying in Ruidoso during the summer.

To cherish her memory, Mildred leaves behind her son, Terry Reed and wife Mary Ann, daughter-in-law Juanita Reed, granddaughters, Stacie Moore and husband Brad, Haley Reed, Karen Benton and husband Dennis and LeAnn Bruster, and two great granddaughters, Bristol and Hazel.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldon, her son Ray, her sister and two brothers.

The family would like to say thank you to all her caregivers for their loving care.

A committal service will be held at the Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lubbock, Texas on January 11 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wesleyan Hospice in Georgetown, Texas.
