Ola Lee Gary LUBBOCK-Ola Lee Olie Gary of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the age of 93. She was born Dec. 13, 1918, in O'Donnell to David and Laura Stevens. Olie graduated from Tahoka High School in 1937. She married Ralph Gary on May 16, 1940, and together they owned and operated a crop dusting business for many years. In 1965, the couple moved to California, where together they began a new venture, owning a helicopter business. Retirement took them to Ruidoso in 1983, and in 2000, Olie moved to Lubbock and became a resident of Ventura Place. There she enjoyed new friendships, reading and working puzzles. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Steve and wife Mary of Lubbock, and Roger and wife Lisa of San Ramon, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, on March 10, 1997; granddaughter, Julie Gary; three brothers; and three sisters. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, in Sunset Church of Christ Chapel. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the O'Donnell Cemetery.
