Patty Moore LUBBOCK-Patsy LaRue Patty Moore of Lubbock passed away at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at the age of 76. She was born Jan. 12, 1936, in Crosby County to Guy and Clara Pearl (Day) Beckham. Patty grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School. In the summer of 1948, at the age of 12, Patty was saved at Temple Baptist Church in the Arnett Benson District. She had a passion for serving the deaf and began serving in this ministry in 1965. Since that time she had been an interpreter for many within the hospitals, churches and civic organizations. She was deeply rooted in her strong Christian faith. Patty married Harry Moore on May 21, 1972, in Clovis, N.M. They continued to make their home in Lubbock. She had an obsession with collecting shoes and a love for collecting angels. Patty was surrounded by those angels in her home and by her bedside at her passing. Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Patrick Davis, and two daughters, Karen Fisher and Debby Dilworth, all of Lubbock; one sister, Ruth Lusk of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry, on Feb. 25, 1991; one son, Lanny Davis, on Jan. 20, 2007; five brothers; and one sister. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 18, 2012, at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Wayne Avenue Baptist Church with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
