Pedro Hernandez Jr. LUBBOCK-Rosary for Pedro Hernandez Jr., 61, of Lubbock will be today at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, located at 1603 Cherry Ave. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the same church with Father Jim O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel. Pedro passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. He was born on July 18, 1951, in New Deal, Texas, to the late Pedro Sr. (2004) and Ginoveva (Valdez) Henandez. He had worked for Texas Tech University in the maintenance department before becoming ill. He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock. He was a Catholic and a Cursillista. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Hernandez of Lubbock; his mother, Ginoveva Hernandez of Lubbock; five brothers, Ricardo V. Hernandez, Joe V. Hernandez, Arnulfo Hernandez, Alberto Hernandez and Arthur Hernandez, all of Lubbock; four sisters, Alicia Castilla of Ohio, Rosario Guerrero, Mary H. Martinez and Beatrice Ramirez, all of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and a great-grand child. Pallbearers will be Elliot Vera, Robert Hernandez, Bobby Ray Hernandez, Conrad Martinez Jr., Adam Ramirez Jr., A.J. Hernandez and Christopher Hernandez.
