Raul Rocha LUBBOCK- Raul H. Rocha, 80, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 peacefully in his sleep. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Raul was born May 5, 1932 in Kingsville, Texas to Samuel and Senovia Rocha. He was a warehouse clerk for most of his life before retiring, spending time with his grandchildren of which he loved dearly. Most of his friends knew him as Grandpa. He was very active in sports, loved the game of golf, fishing and bowling. Taking his grandkids by the hand, he taught them the gift of each sport. Loved ones include daughter, Zelda Cuevas and husband, Art; son, Robert Rocha and wife, Denise; and son, Raul Rocha, Jr., all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Jason, Chris, Angela, Chad and Detra; six great grandchildren, Anthony, Hayleigh, Anneliese, Taylor, Aribella and Addison; brothers, Manuel Barrera of Fort Worth, Ruben Trevino of San Antonio, Reynaldo Rocha of Laredo, Romeo Rocha of Rockwall, and Dr. Samuel Rocha of Houston; sisters, Rachel Martinez of Kansas City, Mo., and Grace Ledesma of Houston. Raul was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Rocha; sister, Grace Barrera; and brother, Rene Rocha. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Lubbock.
