Ray Milton Sell LUBBOCK-Services for Ray Milton Sell, 86, of Petersburg will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Main Street Church of Christ in Petersburg. Interment will follow in the Petersburg Cemetery. Ray's family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. this evening at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock. Ray passed away early Monday morning, Feb. 11, 2013. He was born on the Sell family homestead near Petersburg to Robert and Maude Sell on April 4, 1926. He served in the US Army during World War II, stationed in the Philippines and Japan. Ray married Maurine Bateman in Abilene, Texas on Dec. 30, 1951 They made their home in Petersburg and Ray farmed the original homestead for several years. He was a member of the Petersburg Main Street Church of Christ. Loved ones include his daughter, Tracy Hill of Bakersfield, Calif.; sons, Eric (Clarees) of Kingfisher, Okla., and Troy (Judy) and Jason of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
