Rebecca Kay Goswick MIDLAND-Rebecca Kay Goswick, 53, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Kay was born on April 21, 1960, to Harold and Trecie Sides in Midland, Texas. Kay was preceded in death by her father, Harold Sides, in 1990 and her stepfather, Donald Wallace, in 2004. She is survived by her mother, Trecie Wallace of Denver City, Texas; her brother, Kevin Sides of Allen, Texas; son, Jay and wife Barbie of San Angelo, Texas; son, Benjamin Goswick of Midland; and a beautiful two year old granddaughter, Jaycee Kay Harris of San Angelo, Texas; and a special friend, Leslie Jones of Midland; one niece; and numerous cousins. Kay graduated from high school at Novice, Texas, in 1978 and from College of the Southwest, Hobbs, N.M. in 1985. She was an educator for twenty years and began a new career as an office manager at Baker Hughes Centrilift in Midland, Texas. Kay loved the Lord and was a member of Crossroads Church. She loved to read, and she loved animals. She would rescue stray dogs, feed them, heal them, and find loving homes for them. A memorial service for Kay will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, 2508 N. Big Spring St., Midland, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 1701 N. Main St. Midland, Texas 79701. Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
