Reginald Emerson Prichard LUBBOCK-Beloved and loving father, husband, and uncle, Reginald Emerson Prichard passed peacefully at home in Lubbock on Sept. 9, 2013. Born in 1919 in Bowie, Texas, and reared in Canyon, he was a graduate of Canyon High and West Texas A & M, and served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific theatre during WWII. He was married to the love of his life, Mava Dee, for 58 years. She preceded him in death in 2007. They are survived by daughters, Cynthia Vonn Preid and Debra Prichard of Lubbock. Known as a person of great integrity, Reg had served as a vice president at American National Bank in Amarillo and owned businesses in Amarillo and Lubbock. An outstanding, entertaining, and involved gentleman, he was an avid sports fan who at one time wanted to be a sports journalist. He wrote poetry and was a talented dancer. He will be remembered as a dedicated Christian man with a winning smile, sense of humor, and devotion to his family. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept.14, at Shepherd of the Plains Lutheran Church, 73rd Street and Frankford Ave in Lubbock.
