Ruth Stueart LITTLEFIELD- Ruth Stueart, 69, of Levelland, formerly of Littlefield, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Levelland. She was born Jan. 23, 1944 in Alba, Texas to John Henry and Mamie Adams. Ruth worked in the school cafeteria in Littlefield for many years as the ticket lady, where she got to know and love many children and watch them grow during her time spent there. She was a talented artist, loved to paint, and taught many workshops and classes. She loved her family and lifelong friends, and cherished the time she spent with her two grandchildren. Ruth was a member of the Cotton Ridge Baptist Church in Levelland. She is survived by her son, Michael Stueart and wife Dianna of Levelland; two grandchildren, Hannah and Jordan Stueart of Levelland; and two brothers, Quincy Adams and John Adams, Jr. Junior both of Lubbock. Waiting for her in Heaven were her two sons, Randy Stueart who passed away in 1997, and Mitchell Stueart who passed away in 2007; five brothers, Albert Guy Adams, Clifton Adams, J.D. Adams, Kenneth Adams, Herman Adams, and Wiley Adams; and her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday May 9, 2013 in Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Garland Stueart and David Rhoades officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
