Saundra Kaye Foster LUBBOCK- Saundra Kaye Foster, 64, of Lubbock passed away June 25, 2013. Family will receive friends for a visitation today from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan, Texas. Saundra was born on Nov. 9, 1948 in Rotan, Texas to the late James Curtis and Dorothy Jean (Lane) Foster. After graduating high school she attended and graduated from Texas Tech. After graduating she began her professional career in education. Her passion for children and their education was shown in her 26 year tenure with Plains Middle School. While at Plains she not only taught in the class room but her love for the students was shown in her participation and leadership in many extra-curricular activities with the students. She also had a great passion for animals, especially her cats. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, James Wesley Foster, and Patrick Stephen Foster. She is survived by her nephew, James Curtis Foster II; sister-in-law, Emilie Burrer Foster; and cousins, Carolynne Hamilton, Marolynne Huber, Perry Swann, and Mike Sullivan.
