Shelbi Raye McClure LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate Shelbi's 21 years of life from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in the Crosbyton Cemetery with memorial services at 2 p.m. at Trinity Church. Our beloved Shelbi went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. Shelbi was born on Sept. 19, 1991, in Lubbock to Doug and Cindy (Dewbre) McClure. She graduated from Trinity Christian School, where she enjoyed playing volleyball and cheerleading. Shelbi was an accomplished gymnast and on the 2003 NCA National Cheer Squad with Extreme Cheer. Presently, she was attending West Texas A&M University in Canyon, preparing to enter nursing school. While attending college, Shelbi continued cheerleading and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Shelbi was also a member of Trinity Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronald McClure and Jean Schluter. Those left to cherish Shelbi's memories are her parents, Doug and Cindy; two brothers, Tye McClure and wife Ashley of Keller, and Eric McClure and wife Aaron of Lubbock; two nephews, Parker and Tucker McClure, and future nephew, Graham McClure, arriving in December; grandparents, Jacky and Ruby Dewbre; and great-grandparents, Cleo and Ruby Simmons, all of Crosbyton. Memorials are suggested to the Shelbi McClure Memorial Fund, Plains Capital Bank, any branch in Lubbock or Canyon.
