Thelma Williams LUBBOCK - Thelma LaVeta Williams of Lubbock passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born August 13, 1917 in Hammond, Oklahoma to Dee and Myrtle Williams. They later made their home in Lockney. She is survived by her sister, Alta (V.A.) Trussell of Mansfield, Texas; three sister-in-laws, Mary (Vernon) Williams of Lubbock, Ruth (Clifton) Williams of Germantown, Maryland, and Nina (David) Teuton of Lockney; eight nieces, Beth Cheatwood and Sheila Hayden, both of Bakersfield, California, Rita Claudette Martonrano of Salido, California, Jeannette Smith of Germantown, Maryland, Carolyn Young of Lubbock, Pat Oanes of Leesburg, Florida, Donna Daniel of Arlington, Texas and Rhea Stansell of Lubbock; and five nephews, Weldon Jones of Hale Center, Don Williams of Mayflower, Arkansas, Bruce Williams of Lubbock, Dee Trussell of New Canaan, Connecticut, and James Trussell of Mansfield. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene Sinclair; and six brothers, Lowell, Vernon, Calvin, Glenn, David, and Clifton Williams. Viewing will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with graveside services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Lockney Cemetery.
