Lubbock- Travis was born in Amarillo, TX on September 26, 1991 and left this life on September 1, 2018. He is survived by his loving Grandparents Eldon and Betty Smith of Lubbock, parents Mike and Cheryl Smith of Pampa, TX, Uncle Terry Smith and wife Teresa of Highland Haven, TX, Uncle Dean Birkes and wife Stacie of Amarillo, TX and a host of cousins. He also leaves behind special friends Candra, Sydney and Rhett Hurley, Carl and Lisa Cox and a host of friends all over the world. He was truly loved by family and friends. Travis attended South Plains College, transferred to Texas Tech University and graduated in May 2018 with a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. He accomplished all this in three years. He was presently teaching Sociology classes at TTU while pursuing a Master's Degree. TTU will honor him on his birthday September 26, 2018 by lowering the flag in Memorial Circle to half-staff. Services to honor his life will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Highland Baptist Church at 11:00 am. His ashes will be spread in many of his favorite places.
