Mae worked as a PBX operator for many years in the Lubbock area. She was an active member of the PBX Club of Lubbock, where she held numerous positions until her retirement from Southwestern Public Service in the 1970s. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church here in Lubbock. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in Sanders Memorial Chapel, located on Main Street in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be held later the same day in Gillespie Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 p.m. This cemetery is located on Hwy 222 outside Munday, Texas.
