Wanda Glyn Dunn LUBBOCK- Wanda Glyn Dunn, 85, lovingly called Nanny by her family, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at a local care facility. Visitation will be held today, November 25, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside service will be on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park. Wanda was born February 7, 1927 in Lubbock County to Alfred and Meva Lou (Council) Duncan. She married J.C. (Jake) Dunn on February 8, 1946 in Woodrow, Texas. Nanny loved to read and was referred to as a book of knowledge by her family. She enjoyed writing poetry for family and friends. She was employed for 25 years with Highland Hospital in the dietary department. She was an excellent cook. She was involved in the farming and agriculture community in the Woodrow area. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother who loved and enjoyed her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. (Jake) Dunn; son, Jimmy Dunn; brothers, Vestal Duncan and Donald Duncan; and sister, Mildred (Tookie) Norman. Nanny is survived by her children, Judy Hunley and husband, Sam, Kathy Cloud and husband, Johnny both of Lubbock, Randy Dunn and wife, Brenda of Pampa and Terri Bonner and husband, Wayne of Lubbock; daughter-in-law, Barbara Dunn of Lubbock; sister, Maureen Bourland of Brownwood; along with 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
