Bobby Gene Dorman LUBBOCK-Bobby Gene Dorman, 78, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. Visitation will be held today, Nov. 7, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Quaker Ave Church of Christ with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. He was born on May 23, 1934, to the late Floyd and Lorene Dorman in Aiken, Texas. He had lived in Lubbock since 1952. Bobby graduated from Lockney High School in 1952 and later attended Texas Tech University. He married Joy Weatherly, who preceded him in death in 1997. Bobby was employed with Lubbock Power and Light for 42-plus years. He loved fishing, especially at Red River, joking around, and being with his family and grandkids. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joy; brother, Roger Dorman; and sister, Jolene Wall. He married Pauline Strain on August 1998 in Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons, Wade Dorman of Lubbock and Rodney Dorman of Idalou; daughters, Denyce Perkins, and Patti Shelton and husband Bobby all of Lubbock; stepchildren, Paula Howard and husband Rick of Comanche, and Relda Setliff and husband Kenny of DeSoto; sisters,Lesca Dee McCandless and Donna Dollar Clay; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
