George Z. Archuleta LUBBOCK-Funeral service for George Z. Archuleta, 56, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with Kingdom Messengers officiating. Interment will be in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Evening prayer service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in the Chapel. George passed away on Feb. 2, 2014, at University Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 29, 1956, in Roswell, N.M. to George and Esmera Archuleta. He married Gloria Archuleta. Mr. Archuleta was a loving husband who valued his wife unconditionally and would do anything for his children. He taught his children the way of life and that work was very important in life. Also, George had many grandchildren who called him PoPo, and his grandkids brightened his day. He was a very dedicated and hard worker who strived his best to work hard; in the summer, winter, rain or snow, he was there. George was loved by all and more. George is survived by sons, Agapito Valero, Julius Lopez, and George Archuleta IV; and a son-in-law, Eliazar Guitron; his daughters, Julie Ann Espinosa, Roxanne Valdez, Ashley Guitron. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren; his parents, George and Esmera Archuleta; his brothers and sisters, Richard, Sally, Cindy, Corina and Connie Archuleta.
