Diana R Chapa LUBBOCK-On Feb. 16, 2014, our Heavenly Father called Diana Richardson Chapa home. She was born on July 2, 1948, to Tomas and Maria Richardson. She served in the U.S. Air Force, being honorably discharged in 1975, and was a member of the American G.I. Forum. Diana married Frank Chapa II in Aug. 1972 in Slaton, Texas. She is survived by her children: a daughter, Christina Ramos and husband Rick; and a son, Frank Chapa III and wife Debra. Survivors also include her sisters, Kathryn and Cecilia Richardson; and a brother, Tom of Lubbock. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Diana was loved, cherished and admired by her grandchildren, Pristina Ramos, Mariah Ramos and Frankie-Rose Chapa. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Francesca Richardson, Jose Richardson, Gina Vargas, Danny Mu oz, Jessica Richardson, Brandon and Madyson Richardson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Sierra Richardson, Arnaldo Flores, Enrico Flores, Francisco Flores, Cecilia Juarez, Annahi Botello and Zion Vargas; great-great-nieces and nephews, Zuriah Richardson, Addison Flores, Israel Juarez, Ryan Flores, Ivan Flores and Tomas Richardson. She was preceded in death by both parents, Tomas and Maria Richardson; and one sister, Kathryn Jean. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Celebration of life service will be held for Diana Richardson Chapa, 65, of Lubbock at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
