2 Jack D. Andrews LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Jack D. Andrews at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Our beloved Jack went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2014. Jack was born on Nov. 2, 1931, to the late John and Juanita (Benham) Andrews in Afton, Texas. He attended school in Roaring Springs and Brownfield. Jack was drafted into the Army and served two years. On Sept. 30, 1950, he married the love of his life, Charlotte Havis in Matador. He worked for Halliburton for many years and then for Five Star Consolidated in Denver City. Jack enjoyed travelling and playing golf with Charlotte. He was a member of the Hillcrest Country Club. Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; a son, Mike Andrews; three sisters, Jody Pierce, Darlene Burton and Betty Treiber; and a son-in-law, Gary Luckie. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Luckie; a grandson, Derek Luckie; two great-grandchildren, Lindsey D. Luckie and Mason G. Luckie; a brother, Dan (Shirley) Andrews; and a sister-in-law, Barbara (James) Robbins-Watson.
