Lejeune Northington LUBBOCK-Lejeune Northington, 81, of Amarillo passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was born on the Sabbath day of May 28, 1932, in Clovis, NM. The daughter of the late Bob and Evelyn Phillips, Lejeune is survived by two of her three children: Sharon Kay Tarpley of Amarillo, Texas, and Dennis Lee Northington of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son, Troy Ray Northington. She is also survived by two brothers, James Robert Phillips of Lubbock, Texas, and Harold Wayne Phillips of Great Falls, MT; her five grandchildren, Bradley Louis Tarpley, Bryan David Tarpley, Daniel Ryan Northington, Christine Nicole Northington and Jennifer Nicole Northington. She was married to her late husband, Burlie Ray Northington on Oct. 28, 1951. Lejeune was first and foremost a follower of her Lord Yeshua. She was a daily student and teacher of the Bible and a member of Gideon's International Auxiliary because her great joy was to give and share God's word with others. She attended Freedom Baptist Church of Amarillo. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday April 9, 2014, in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
