Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hosea Walter BROWNFIELD-Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hosea Walter, 86, of Brownfield, Texas, passed away on April 16, 2014. Lizzie was born on Sept. 9, 1927, to the late Odder Hosea and Grace Bush-Hosea in Heidenheimer, Texas. Lizzie attended Heidenheimer Public Schools. Her family relocated to Lakeview, Texas, in 1942. Baptized at an early age, Lizzie fully dedicated her life to Christ in 1957. She joined Henry Walter in holy matrimony on Feb. 2, 1958. In 1963 they were blessed with a child, Sharylee. Lizzie was a faithful member of Greater New Hope until her illness. She served in many areas for God, including BTU Director. She enjoyed teaching and activities such as The Sword Drill and Hot Seat. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and watching soap operas. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Odder and Grace Hosea; her favorite aunt, Novella Cook. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Henry Walter; daughter, Sharylee (Maurice); grandchildren, Michael Roberson II, Britni Roberson-Cain (Sam), Kristopher Hudson, and Tatyana Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Khryslyn and Ezrah Hudson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
