Kenneth Lee Hensley LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Kenneth Lee Hensley at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the South Plains Church of Christ. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Resthaven. Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2014. He enjoyed playing golf with friends and family. He loved the insurance profession and taking care of his clients for over 50 years in Lubbock. He loved fishing and vacationing in the mountains. He was born on April 16, 1935, to Jess W. Hensley and Jewel Ethridge Maisen. He graduated from Shriner's School and attended Texas Tech University. He is survived by the love of his life for 60 years, Roylene Wheeler Hensley and was married on May 15, 1954. He served in the Army during the early years of their marriage. Kenneth is also survived by his stepsister, Judy Criswell of Lubbock; a son, Kevin Hensley and wife, Courtney of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Dana Morrison and husband, Tom Morrison of Grapevine, Texas; three grandchildren, Cory Piland and wife, Allyn Piland of Lubbock, Cole Hensley and Colin Hensley of Atlanta, GA; and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Braxton Piland of Lubbock. Other survivors include three step-grandkids, Jamin Morrison, Cheree Allen and Melissa Zaccarello; and five step-great-grandkids, Brooke, Brenda, Blaine, Piper and Gabriella. He will be truly missed by all that knew him and loved him. He will live in our hearts forever. Condolences and online guestbook can be found at
