Dora C. Pinkert SLATON - Rosary service for Dora Pinkert, 95, of Slaton will be 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Englunds Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Englunds Chapel with burial following in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Dora was born in Westphalia, TX on January 2, 1919. She passed from this life April 27, 2014. She moved with her parents, Albert Andrew and Josephine Elizabeth (Rabroken) Pinkert, to Wilson and later to their Slaton farm. Dora graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School. She went to work helping out on the farm and caring for her family with the responsibility of caring for her parents until their death. Those who survive her include brother, Leon Pinkert, and sister, Regina Van Den Berghe, along with numerous nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews, and great-great- nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Slaton's Meals on Wheels, 230 W Lynn, Slaton, TX 79364.
