Thomas George Rothman LUBBOCK-Thomas Tom George Rothman went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2014. Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers will host a visitation for family and friends to celebrate his life of 90 years on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. In honor of Tom, the family requests that all guests attend this event in casual attire. A tribute of Tom's life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family. Tom was born on March 11, 1924, in Hot Springs, Ark. He married the love of his life on Nov. 3, 1955, in Pleasant Valley, Ark. Tom served his country as a Private in the U.S. Army and participated in the liberation of a Nazi concentration camp. He was an auto mechanic by trade and loved to work in his yard. One of Tom's favorite pastimes was holding court with his grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy (Thurber) Rothman; three daughters, Linda Rothman, Cecilia Wiggins, and Sheila Click; one son, Jim Rothman; a brother, George Rothman; a sister, Mary Jones; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
