We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 77 years on Monday, June 2, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Lake Ridge Chapel. A tribute of Bobby's life may be found at, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family Bobby Joe Miller was born in Plainview to Cecil and Lillie Miller on Nov. 21, 1936. He married his best friend and soul mate, Glenda, on his birthday in 1981. He spent 50-plus years driving a truck, logging more than a million miles. He retired from Furr's and later went to work for Fleming and Conway Express. After retirement, you could always find Papaw in his garage tinkering with motorcycles, dirt-bikes, and cars, playing his guitar and singing, or simply watching his Texas Rangers play on T.V. His best times were spent in his garage surrounded by his family and friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wesley; brother, Johnny; and grandson, Wesley Dorman. Those left to enjoy and cherish countless, wonderful memories are his devoted and loving wife Glenda; daughters, Veda Morgan (Glenn) of Tucson, Ariz., and Lydia Miller of Lubbock; sons, Craig Lunsford and Mark Lunsford (Michele), both of Lubbock; sisters, Dorothy Scarborough and Alma Durret of Lubbock, and Debbie Perkins of Hollis, Okla.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous friends that he loved like family. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
