Richard Castro LUBBOCK-Richard Riche Castro, 89, of Lockney passed away on Aug. 15, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney with Father Pat Maher officiating. Interment will follow in Lockney Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 6 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney. Mr. Castro was born on April 3, 1925, to Juan and Delores Castro in Lytle, Texas. He married Felicita Gonzales on Feb. 10, 1945, in Devine, Texas. He was a mechanic for Maggard Nall Motor Company in Plainview for 20 years. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart Men's Society of San Jose Catholic Church, and a hospice volunteer. He loved to sing and tell jokes to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Felicita Castro; one daughter: Diana Castro; four brothers; and three sisters. Mr. Castro is survived by seven sons: Jose Castro and wife Estella, Juan Castro and wife Carolina, Pedro Castro and wife Mage, Richard Castro, Jr., Frank Castro, Paul Castro and Jesus Castro; six daughters: Cipriana Garcia and husband David, Cathy Rosales and husband Abraham, Gloria Ellis and husband Pete, Irene Leija, Angela Ochoa and husband Joe, and Jovita Hernandez and husband Robert; forty grandchildren; ninety-three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the San Jose Catholic Church or Hospice Hands of West Texas. Condolences may be made at
