Zade Frank Hooper ANTON-Zade Frank Hooper, 88, lifelong resident of Anton, passed away on Aug. 15, 2013, in Lubbock. He was born May 15, 1926, in Temple, OK, to Charles Wrigley and Lois Hooper. Zade married Dorothy Joyce Motl on Nov. 27, 1948, in Anton. He was a rural mail carrier for 43 years. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Zade loved going to all the school events and stock shows in support of his children and grandchildren. He was an avid trout fisherman. He was also very active in the community, serving on the Anton School Board, City Council, Lions Club, the Ag and Athletic Boosters, and was a member of the board at the First United Methodist Church. Zade was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Zade is survived by three daughters, Zita Hooper, Denise Stephenson and husband Sammy, Chloe Swan and husband Charlie, all of Anton; four grandchildren, Clint Stephenson of Shallowater, Cory Stephenson of Munday, Brad Swan of Anton and Jarrod Swan of Lubbock; and five great-grandchildren, Hudson, Elliette and Everley Stephenson of Munday, TX, and Brynlee and Branson Swan of Anton. He is also survived by one sister, Louise Harper of Plainview. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, March 31, 2014; one sister, Nelda Tullis; and his parents, Charles and Lois Hooper. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Anton. Interment will follow at the Anton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The First United Methodist Church or the Anton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
