A.B. Enloe Obituary

A.B. Enloe A.B. Enloe, 83, of Lubbock died Sunday, July 31, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors (1901 Broadway). A.B. was born in Megargel, Texas, on Oct. 22, 1927, to Abraham Barnes Enloe and Ruby Lee Gwinn and grew up in Amherst, Texas. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1945. A.B. served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan. He then attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 1952. He was a member of the Silver Key Fraternity (Phi Delta Theta). On July 22, 1953, he married Patricia Marie Martin in Lubbock, Texas. A.B. was in the cotton ginning and farming business. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock and the Hi-Robinson Sunday school class. A.B. is survived by Pat, his wife of 58 years; daughters, Zita Enloe of Arlington, Texas, and Lesley Robinson and her husband Glenn of Arlington, Texas; son, Brad Enloe and his wife Sandi of Plano, Texas; his sisters, Genny Park of Lubbock, Edith Bryant of Amherst, Texas, and Nell Cook and her husband R.J. of Amherst, Texas; and five grandchildren (Ryan, Parker, Mackenzie, Austin and Preston). The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church of Lubbock Everliving Trust, 1411 Broadway Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79401, or the charity of your choice.
