Dolores Dodi Smith LOVINGTON, N.M.-Dolores Dodi Smith went to be with our Lord April 6, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Lovington, N.M., where she and her late husband. H.L. Red Smith, owned and operated Smith Electronics and she worked as the accountant for the business. She continued practicing accounting as the assistant deputy treasurer for Lea County, N.M., until her retirement. Dolores will be in state in Guajardo Funeral Chapels today at 5 p.m. with graveside services scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday in the Lovington Cemetery. Dolores loved to read and enjoyed the mountains and her animals, and cherished her family. She was a firm believer who was very devoted to her faith in Jesus. She was preceded in death by her late husband and a granddaughter, Tracy Dawn Luscombe. Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Karen Lynn Lawson; a son, H.L. Smith Jr. and wife Lora; seven grandchildren, Chad Luscombe, Chere Lawson, Stefani Lawson, Crystal Smith, James Lawson, and Gage and Talon Ivey; and two great-grandsons, Marshal and Gabriel Koerth. She will be greatly missed.
