Dario Alaniz LUBBOCK- Services for Dario Alaniz, 63, of Lubbock will be on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 7016 Frankford Ave. with Bishop Jeff Cluff officiating. Viewing for Mr. Alaniz will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday until service time. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Dario passed away from this earthly life on April 23, 2012 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 10, 1948 in Weslaco, Texas to Pedro and Francisca Alanis. He later met and married the love of his life, the former Lile Perales. Their union was blessed for 42 precious years. Dario was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as Bishop in San Antonio in 1977. He graduated from LHS in 1967 and then sought a Degree from the San Antonio College of Nursing. He worked as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years in the Lubbock area. His thirst for knowledge inspired him to read constantly. He enjoyed writing poetry. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lile; sons, Marcos, Adan and Juan Daniel JD Alaniz; his daughters include, Deborah Roper, Maria F. Alaniz and Laura Rodriquez; his siblings include, Pedro Alaniz Jr. and Guadalupe Alaniz. He also will be missed by his grandchildren, Brandon, BriAnna, Alyssa, Alec, Quinton, Sheridan, Payton, Carmela, and Delilah.
