Billie McCormick SNYDER-Billie McCormick, 82, of Snyder, Texas, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at her residence in Snyder, Texas, after a lengthy illness. Services for Mrs. McCormick will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at East Side Church of Christ with Mr. Tom Holcomb, Mr. Don Browning and Mr. Steve Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. McCormick was born on March 1, 1930, in Floydada, Texas, to Harry M. Miller and Edith Pliler, and was raised by E.A. and Nell Rose Pliler. She married Bobby McCormick on Tuesday, May 30, 1950, in Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2010. She attended Abilene Christian College and was a member of the Martha Ann Women's Club. She was a member of the East Side Church of Christ and taught many bible classes. She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Shaw and husband Lane, Lubbock, Texas;one daughter-in-law, Janie McCormick, Snyder, Texas; one brother, Lawrence Stone and wife Eleanor, Lubbock, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Nona Pliler, San Angelo, Texas, and Linda Heath, Salado, Texas; four brothers-in-law, Beecher McCormick and wife Joy , Abilene, Texas, Billy McCormick and wife JoAnn, Snyder, Texas, C.E. McCormick Jr. and wife Barbara, Snyder, Texas, and Keith McCormick and wife Frieda, Waco, Texas; three grandchildren, Megan Cerda and husband Ted, Snyder, Texas, Matt McCormick and Shelley Fisk, Snyder, Texas, and Erin Buck and husband Ken, Austin, Texas; great-grandson, Zane Reda, Austin, Texas; and great-granddaughter, Kayla Buck, Austin, Texas. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark McCormick; and two brothers, George Pliler and Evert Miller. No visitation is planned.
