Sharon Teddy Carr LUBBOCK- Sharon Teddy Carr, 70, passed away Sunday, April 29th, 2012. Family and friends will gather for fellowship on Tuesday, May 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. Sharon was born in May of 1941 to Theodore and Margie Franklin in Lubbock. On May 25, 1958, Sharon married the love of her life, Van Carr, in Wells, Texas. They enjoyed a blessed marriage and grew old together for 43 years. As a child, Teddy lived in California and attended Harbor City Christian School. She was a graduate of Dawson High School and was a long time resident of Welch, Texas where her husband was Superintendent of Schools. She also lived in McAdoo, Spade, and Lubbock Texas. Teddy trusted in her savior the Lord Jesus Christ at five years old and followed Him all of the days of her life. Her greatest joy was bringing others to trust in Him too, by living her life as an example. Teddy was active in the local church of her community and loved working with children. She was church secretary for several years at First Baptist Church of Littlefield, Texas. She was a member of Lake Ridge Baptist Church. Teddy also worked at the Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, and the Fresenius Medical Care, SPKDC. She is survived by her children, son, Kelly Carr and wife Cindy of Greenville, Texas, and daughter, Rachel Middleton and husband David of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Timothy, Andrew and Rebecca Carr; and one sister, Cathie Scott and husband Gary of Lubbock, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Van Carr.
