Donald Gene Ivie PLUGERVILLE- Donald Gene Ivie of Brownwood, Texas passed away in his home on Saturday June 9, 2012 at the age of 69. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 20, 1942 to Oscar Lee Ivie and Olivene Jane Cooper. He is survived by two brothers, Randy Ivie of Oklahoma City and Dwayne Ivie of Decatur, Ala., and sister, Janice Jeffrey of Bueyeros, N.M. He is also survived by two children, Desirae Shirley of Pflugerville, Texas and Lance Ivie of Conroe, Texas, as well as their mother, Joyce Ivie of Lubbock, Texas. He also has one granddaughter, Hannah Shirley, and two grandsons, Heath Shirley and D.W. Shirley. He was preceded in death by brother, Gerald Ivie of Oklahoma City, Okla. He was in the Air Force and worked for Goodpasture Grains of Brownfield, Texas for twenty years before moving on to other various jobs throughout the U.S. and retiring in Brownwood, Texas. He was dearly loved and will truly be missed. Services will be held at Beck Funeral Home at 4765 Priem Lane in Pflugerville, Texas. Viewing will be held Friday, June 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral on Saturday, June 16th at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the care of Beck Funeral Home, Pflugerville, TX 512-251-3500.
