Fernando Zamora LAMESA- Fernando Zamora, 28, of Lamesa was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He was born on October 17, 1983 in Lamesa, Texas to the late Arnulfo, Sr. and the late Guadalupe Zamora. He was called by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 16, 2012 at a Lubbock hospital. Fernando was raised and educated in Lamesa. He met and later married Marissa Castro on October 27, 1999. The couple resided in Lamesa where they raised their three children. He was employed with Basic Energy at the time of his death. Fernando enjoyed being around his family and friends, especially his children. He had a great sense of humor bringing a smile to everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Fernando was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Marissa Zamora; his three children, Hector Fabian Zamora, Luis Fernando Zamora and Valeria Lizeth Zamora, all of Lamesa; his brothers, Juan Zamora of Midland and Arnulfo Zamora Jr of Del Rio, Texas; four sisters, Amelia Zamora of San Antonio and Edelmira Subia, Olga Garza and Alicia Zamora, all of Midland; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins A rosary will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel, 2508 N. Big Spring Street, Midland, TX. A funeral mass is set for Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1906 W. Texas Ave in Midland, with Father Rick Lopez officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 600 W. Nobles also in Midland. Pallbearers for the service will be Ivan Castro, Carlos Castro, Juan Acosta, Mark Zamora, Isaac Zamora, Isaac Garcia, Gerardo Cardoza, and Anthony Garza. The Zamora family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Basic Energy and the doctors and nurses at the burn unit at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
