Agedita Gale Bastardo Trevino LUBBOCK-Agedita Gale Bastardo Trevino of Lubbock passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at the age of 64. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 4, 1948, to Jose Conrado Bastardo and Yrene Ramirez Bastardo. Gale attended school in Abernathy, and after her second child was born, Gale went back to school to get her LVN license. Gale felt much satisfaction from her career, as she began as a certified nurse's aide and eventually becoming a vocational licensed nurse. Gale worked hard to put herself through nursing school. She worked at the Dialysis Center, Redbud, where she taught patients to treat themselves at home. She took pride in everything she did and had a heart big enough for her family and patients. She also worked for Home Care Solutions and had been with them for 16 years. Gale loved to spend quality time with her grandchildren, and loved the movies, music and dancing. She also attended the ACT retreat in Slaton, which was such a joy to her. Gale was a kind, loving and caring person with a huge heart, a beautiful smile and open arms. She will truly be missed. Gale is survived by her children, Billy Joe Trevino, Michael Angelo Trevino and Diana Neighly; grandchildren, Joseph Vincent Trevino, Joshua Aaron Neighly, Sebastian Nikolas Ryan Neighly and Savanna Jewels Neighly; great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Trevino, Adalyn Trevino, Xavier Aaron Neighly and Abigale Diana Louise Neighly; brothers, Jose Conrado Bastardo Jr., Mario Rene Bastardo and Hernando Fernando Bastardo; sisters, Dolores Gutierrez and Alicia Anna Prieto; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass will be celebrated today, Oct. 3, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, beginning at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fight for the Cure.
