Billy Bob Nooner, Jr. LUBBOCK- Billy Bob Nooner, Jr. of Lubbock went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the age of 51. He was born November 18, 1960 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Bob and Barbara Larmon Nooner. Bill was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a United States Navy veteran having served from 1978-1981 and was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal and Humanitarian Service Medal. While he was a rebellious spirit, he was a hard worker and put his family before himself. He had his struggles in life, but was a believer in God, who gave him the strength to prevail. Bill loved to tell jokes, even when he was the only one that thought they were funny. He loved to ride his motorcycle and give rides to his sons, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynne; three brothers, Waldo and wife Jennifer, Danny and wife Stacey, and Gary and wife Leah; sister, Rebecca and husband Nathan Land; three sons, Daniel, Bobby and wife Serena, and Christopher and wife Tasha; two stepsons, Michael Armstrong and wife Melissa, and David Armstrong; six grandchildren, Sebastian, Cortney, Corbin, Jacob, Gavin, and Tyler; two step-grandchildren, Travis and Alana Armstrong; and five nephews and two nieces. A visitation will be held at Rix Funeral Directors on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday beginning at 2 p.m. at the Parkway Drive Church of Christ. Cremation will follow.
