Jerry W. Standifer LUBBOCK-Jerry W. Standifer, 74, of Lubbock passed away on Oct. 11, 2012, at home after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Juanice Standifer; son, Brendon Standifer; daughter, Katherine Espinoza and husband Ray Espinoza; and two granddaughters, Michelle Mendez and Jennifer Espinoza. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. Jerry retired from the US Army in 1979 as a SSG; he served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. Visitation will be at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home today, Oct. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services with full military honors will be in Littlefield Memorial Cemetery, Littlefield, Texas,at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Disabled American Veterans.
