Linda Darnell Mims Johnson LUBBOCK-Linda Darnell Mims Johnson, 58, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Sept. 19, 2012. Linda was born on Feb. 11, 1954, to Horace and the late Bobbie Joyce Mims. Linda attended Estacado High School and worked in the medical field for dietary and patient care. She was preceded in death by her mother; her brother, Jerry Mims; a grandson, Christopher Castillo; a great-grandson, A.J. Castillo; one niece; and one nephew. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Patricia Ferrazas; her father, Horace Lee Mims Sr.; four sisters, Barbara Garnes, Joanne Gibbs, Dorothy McKnight and Pearline Mims; four brothers, Johnny Mims, Horace Lee Mims Jr., Frank Mims and Eric Mims; four grandchildren, Joseph Castillo, Alizondo Ferrazas, Marcio Ferrazas Jr. and Jasmine DeLeon; one great-grandson, Zantyago Ferrazas; one great-granddaughter, Genises Grace Castillo; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in Griffin Mortuary Chapel under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Interment will follow as a private disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
