Ronnie Benitez DeLeon LUBBOCK-Funeral services for Ronnie Benitez DeLeon, 48, of Arlington, formerly of Lubbock, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Church of The Blessed, 1809 34th St., with the Rev. Johnny Perez officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Ronnie passed into the waiting arms of Jesus on Nov. 3, 2012. He was born on Aug. 12, 1964, to Richard and Benita DeLeon in Lubbock, Texas. He married Rosa Laredo. Ronnie attended Lubbock High School and was actively involved in the Christian church. He loved to fish and to cheer on those Dallas Cowboys. Ronnie enjoyed Rock 'n Roll music, and taking pictures, especially of his family. He was liked by many and loved by all. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rosa Laredo DeLeon; three daughters, Franchesca Martinez, Courtney DeLeon and Camie DeLeon, all of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Rosanna Narvais of Arlington and Crystal Garcia of Lubbock; mother, Ms. Benita DeLeon; father, Richard and wife Rosalinda DeLeon; two brothers, Robert DeLeon of Lansing, Mich., and Ralph DeLeon of Ft. Worth; one sister, Rosie Lopez of Lubbock; one granddaughter, Zaylee of Lubbock; two stepgrandsons; and maternal grandfather, Esteban C. Benitez. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Juanita F. Benitez; paternal grandparents, Antonio and Olivia DeLeon; as well as several nephews and nieces.
