Joe Vidales Jr. LUBBOCK-Joe Vidales Jr., 53, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in Ropesville. Service for Mr. Vidales will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Jim O'Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be a rosary held at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 9, 2012, at Calvillo Funeral Home. Joe was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Lamesa to Jose and Eba Vidales. He worked as a roofer for many years; he also enjoyed working with wood in different crafts, spending time with his nieces and nephews, and watching the Miami Dolphins. He was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need and was loved by many. He is survived by his parents, Jose Sr. and Eba Vidales of Lubbock; two sisters, Yolanda Abrego and husband Alonzo, and Teresa Gonzales, both of Lubbock; one brother, Ruben Vidales of Lubbock; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
