Delphia Marie Davis HART-Delphia Marie Davis, 95, of Hart passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in Olton. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Hart at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in Hart Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Delphia was born Oct. 26, 1917, in Parker County, Texas, to Harvey and Mary Moss Jenkins Durham. She had been a resident of Hart since 1946. She married Harvey Carroll Davis on Dec. 2, 1934, in Brownfield, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hart, W.M.U., and Good Neighbors Club of Hart. She taught Sunday school, Girls Auxiliary, and Royal Ambassadors for many years. She loved to cook, and was best known for her rolls and pies, playing dominoes and gardening. She was a caregiver. She is survived by her children, Weldon Davis and his wife Tommie, and Jimmy Ray Davis and his wife Greta, all of Hart; her two daughters, Jo Light and her husband Floyd of Olton, and Marie Clevenger of Hart; one sister, Rosetta Henderson of Brownfield; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Davis; one son, Roger Davis; a grandson, Michael Ray Davis; a great-great grandson; five brothers; and six sisters.
