Harve Gardner LUBBOCK-Harve Gardner of Lubbock, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in Hospice Care at Trust Point Hospital. Harve, being a son of the original Enrollee of the Choctaw Nation, was born to Morgan McKinley and Winnie D. Gardner on Aug. 21, 1918, in Bennington, Okla. Harve married Cecil Hutson Feb. 14, 1967. He was an employee of Halliburton Oil Company for years. After their marriage, Harve joined Cecil in the operation of Cecil's Drapery, retiring in 1994. Both were longtime members of Woodrow Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Survivors include two sons, Clyde Gardner of Brownfield and Jerrel Gardner; stepson, Bob Hutson of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Frances Anders of Lubbock; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecil Gardner; sons, James and Charles Gardner; daughter, Macalynn Summers; stepson, Jerry Hutson; and grandson, Darrin Gardner. Family will host visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. at Woodrow Baptist Church with Pastor Ruben Osuna officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
