Arthur L. Wetter, Jr. LUBBOCK- Arthur L. Wetter Jr., proud retired Vietnam veteran, 74, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at University Medical Center. Cremation arrangements were made through Calvillo Funeral Home. Memorial services for Mr. Wetter will be set at a later time. Senior Tech Sergeant, Arthur Yogie Bear Wetter was born October 30, 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He graduated from Virginia Beach High in 1956 and joined the United States Air force the same year. While stationed at Minot Air force base he met and married Bernice Ann Kupser on December 30, 1961. He moved to Lubbock in 1969 where he later retired from the Air force in 1977 at Reese Air Force Base. He was involved with the Air force retirement Assoc. and the local VFW. He enjoyed road trips to visit his family, women's softball, and supporting charitable causes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mildred Cunningham; one sister, Margaret Cunningham; his wife, Bernice Ann Wetter; and one son, Donald Joseph Wetter. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Leann and Bill Fritz of Amarillo, Latricia Wetter of Reno, Nev.; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Michael and LaJuana Wetter of Royse, Steven and Victoria Wetter of Lubbock, and Kelly Wetter of Durrant, Okla.; fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
