Will McCormick LUBBOCK-Will McCormick, so lovingly called Big Dad by his family, passed Monday, Nov. 26, after a battle with cancer. Memorial services will be Friday, Nov. 30, at 10:30 a.m., held at Caprock Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 2520 80th Street, Lubbock, with Allan Eisenhour and Charlie Casas officiating. Will was born in Quitaque, Texas, on Jan. 23, 1932, to the late William and Velma McCormick. He married Yvonne Shackleford in Cotton Center, Texas, on Nov. 3, 1957. He was employed by Fruehauf Trailers for over 30 years and at the age of 78 started his own business, Wills Delivery Service. His greatest joys in life were raising his two daughters with his wife and watching his family grow. He loved spending time with them and playing golf with his children and other friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Along with his parents, Will was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Hunnicutt. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Yvonne; two daughters, Shelley Boyce and husband Ricky of Lubbock, and Shaunna Gregory and husband Bruce of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Ashley Hartline and husband Toby, Amber Boyce, Tory Boyce and wife Shelley, all of Lubbock, Taylor Gregory and wife Caylee, and Kyle Gregory of Ft. Worth; two great-granddaughters, Haley and Hope Hartline of Lubbock; and a nephew, Jerry Hunnicutt of Lubbock.
